Over the past 14 days the world has just carried on turning and stuff has just kept on happening. I have taken one photo each day..all of people getting on with their daily lives. Some spotted me and some didn’t but none of them gave me permission or posed. No fake smiles, no pouts, no touching up make up. Just folk being folk.

The art of street photography is making the mundane seem less so. You also have to be brave and push yourself to take a photo when it feels uncomfortable to do so. Yes it’s scary but its also thrilling and for me addictive.

It’s great practice for any wedding photographer as it improves your eye, your reaction speed, your patience and your persistence.

I used the same camera (Canon 5D) and lens (50mm f/1.2L) each day…just to up the pressure and ensure I got close to the action when required.

I started 14 days ago on the street where I live and have posted in chronological order ***
