A Wedding Portrait lit be a neon sign shot in the basement of Chateau Lartigolle

I consider my self extremely lucky to be flown out to capture Destination weddings 3-4 times every year. I have visited some simply breathtaking regions and venues all across Europe all in the name of Wedding Photography. It’s always exciting and always worth the travel and with me limiting the number of Destination Weddings I shoot each year I still get that surge of excitement and discovery every time I pick up my hire car at the airport.

Arriving a day or two ahead of the big day also allows me to immerse myself in the celebrations a little more. To explore the local area, be a tourist and immerse myself in the culture which I always hope comes across in my images. I also get to spend more time with the couple and when like Jordan and Katherine they invite me into their celebrations make me feel so very, very welcome and feed me with quite simply the best Confit Duck on planet earth!…I always feel extremely lucky and privileged! Destination Wedding Photography most definitely has its perks!

Here’s fifty-ish of my favourites

Alternative Wedding Photography // Toulouse // Chateau Lartigolle

located just an hour from Toulouse airport, Chateau Lartigolle is a Wedding Photographers dream. Full of history, character and texture but with added splashes of modernity and with a super relaxed and “at home” feeling for all the couples who choose to get married there…and did I mention the Duck Confit 😉

A relaxed wedding prep. The boys mainly by the pool and the girls hidden away in the Beautiful Chateau Games Room. The weather was glorious and no risk the planned outdoor wedding ceremony overlooking the beautiful French countryside.

Every room in Chateau Lartigolle has its own unique style and quirkiness. The perfect backdrop for the busyness of a Wedding Day and a Wedding Photographers dream!

I have a huge affinity with every Father Of The Bride. I reckon Wedding Photographers can over choreograph moments like this so when Kath came to Bob it meant we could have a little chat whilst we waited and hopefully relax him a little so I “disappeared” when the moment arrived. Its always a special day for every Dad and his “little girl” but I know it was extra special for Bob and Katherine so to get to capture this moment and the one below, as well as Bob delivering his funny/moving speech, Bob high five-ing the DJ and Bob generally having the time of his life was really special!!!!

Wedding details at Chateau Lartigolle A Wedding portrait shot at the gates of Chateau Lartigolle

Like with all my wedding couples we sneak off for a few portraits at a time when your guests will least miss you. Its always relaxed and a break from the chaos and some quiet time to take stock of the day so far. I always ensure I have reccced a few spots for us to stop off at during our wander around. Whether that be rusty Chateau gates or hidden wine cellars!

A first dance, outside on vintage rugs beneath fairy lights at Chateau Lartigolle

I’m a wedding photographer who loves to captutre the energy of the party and Lartigolle is just the perfect party venue. Al Fresco first dance on vintage rugs {check} Partying under the stars and Festoons {check} and then moving down into your very own “Rave Cave” until the early hours {check}

And finally personalised Neon should be obligatory at EVERY wedding……and not sure if you have heard but Jordan + Kath go way back 😉

J+K and all your friends and family Merci Bisous for your hospitality, trust and energy. You guys nailed it and it was an absolute pleasure to be your Wedding Photographer.

So I need to capture another wedding at Lartigolle
